The Holographic Block
This easy-to-learn, mind-body technique is for clients who want to have more conscious control of their pain and want to be empowered to increase control unwanted emotional overreactions. These procedures are most useful in working with:

• anxiety
• post-operative pain
• chronic and acute back pain
• chronic pain caused by nerve damage
• tension headaches
• menstrual pain, etc.

The Ultradian Lock
This self-hypnosis procedure was developed for clients under stress who have greater difficulty concentrating and have a need to feel in control. It has the advantage of being mechanical in nature and needs no formal induction to initiate or learn. Therefore, it is excellent for working with teenagers and people to whom control is an issue. The procedure comes with a rationale that is appealing to the more critical client. These procedures have been successfully used to:

• Stop panic attacks
• Empower post-hypnotic suggestions
• Give the benefit of 20-minute nap in 2 minutes
• Facilitate meditation and affirmations
• Increase feelings of self-control
• Decrease stress responses

Hypnotic Age-Progression Technique (The Bubble)
    and The Landis-Erickson Preinduction
This is SCSEPH's most requested single teaching tape. The "Bubble" side of the tape is for the client. After a client has listened to this tape as directed, over-reactions to previously emotionally charged situations are disconnected or softened for 15 to 30 seconds. This delay is sufficient to empower your client to be able to react more appropriately to the current situation as an adult. This side of the tape may be duplicated for client use. The preinduction side of the tape is for the therapist. This tape is useful with clients who want to:

• Prevent being manipulated
• Minimize over-reactions
• Increase social comfort
• Decrease fear of confrontations
• Increase options

The preinduction side of the tape describes an Ericksonian approach on how to prepare clients for hypnosis in such a way that increases the effectiveness of your hypnotic interventions.
