In the community, SCSEPH provides clinical supervision of interns in agency placements. We also provide for fee supervision of professionals for individuals or small groups. Supervision is also provided for professionals who have attended selected workshops or purchased selected Archive materials to assure proficiency and competency.
SCSEPH provides consultation to mental health professionals and agencies, schools and industry who request assistance with an individual case or specific clinical populations (e.g. MPD, dissociative disorders, panic disorders, hypnosis-resistant clients, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder).
We provide assistance and co-sponsorship of local, state and national conferences and conventions such as the Erickson Foundation Congresses, Evolution of Psychotherapy, Association of Trauma Stress Specialists, among others.
SCSEPH provides access to literature, video and audio tapes and books to the professional community. In addition, members volunteer their time to present talks and presentations free of charge to qualified community, school and local professional groups.
Although referrals for treatment by individual therapists are made through the society from its membership body, SCSEPH does not necessarily endorse the practices of these individual therapists, and maintains no responsibility for their particular therapeutic approaches. The Society appreciates feedback on all referrals provided.
